Title: Projects Coordinator

Reports to: Programme Manager

Employment Status: Fixed term (18 months)

Working environment: Ability to work from home available depending on criteria

Position Overview

The Projects Coordinator is an internal pivot role whose primary responsibilities are to capture/collect, clean, and organise project and beneficiary data, in line with the organisation’s policies and procedures. It is a high-performance work environment with a culture that strongly promotes balance and wellness.

Functions

  • Accurately and quickly capture data from various departmental and operational documents;
  • Quality assurance of data by identifying errors/potential errors for correction/query;
  • Clean/edit data in accordance with the organisation’s policies and procedures with the following being taken into account: grammar, spelling, style and length;
  • Flag and escalate missing, incomplete or noticeably inaccurate data;
  • Correctly name and save data for use and decision-making by various departments;
  • Respond to requests by Departments or Managers for certain information;
  • Stakeholder liaison with internal and external parties.
  • Draft progress reports and proposals when needed.
  • Create project-related content for social media, newsletters and other communication platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma;
  • 5 – 8 years relevant experience.

Required Skills

Deep respect for consistency and accuracy capturing and editing of data so as to provide reliable data for decision-making throughout the organisation. The ability to work under pressure, while maintaining accuracy working with multiple sources of information. Strong interpersonal communication ability and excellent English language skills and other African languages. Creation and mastering of personal systems to ensure all aspects of the role are completed accurately and correctly.
