Carbon Compliance / Carbon Offset
The carbon tax is here. A form of carbon pricing, it is a tax levied on the carbon content of fuels as an incentive to cut down and reduce carbon emissions. The bill was tabled in parliament in February 2019 with implementation starting as soon as July 2019.
FTFA had the first two Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) registered projects in South Africa. We are also the only ones dealing with township greening and bio-energy. We have learned a significant amount about the carbon offset industry over the years and have a few novelties of our own.
Below are the programmes and initiatives we’d recommend for your carbon tax liability. They are highly efficient — plus they can potentially be supported through CSI / SED / ESD funding.
